1957 Gibson LG-1

Garrett Park Guitars

This guitar is in our Hall of Fame Collection and is no longer available for purchase.

For your consideration, Garrett Park Guitars presents this 1957 Gibson LG-1

1957 Gibson LG-1, in excellent sounding and playing condition, a lovely small bodied Gibson acoustic in great condition. It has signs of being played over the past 58 years with a few nicks & scratches, showing the usual signs of aging you would expect from a guitar that is nearly 60 years old. There is a repaired crack in the top that runs from the sound hole to bridge, it was repaired with cleats and is a solid professional repair.

The original sunburst finish is absolutely glorious (reminiscent of the ('bursts from the 30's & 40's), before the modern high speed finishes were introduced. It features a Brazilian rosewood bridge & fingerboard with pearloid dot inlays, nitrocellulose tortoise shell grain pickguard & Kluson deluxe 3 on a plate tuners and adjustable bridge. Comes with the original faux alligator case and hang tag!

This "Concert" sized Gibson model is now a vintage classic - with sonic virtues like warm tone, projection, lead cut, and playability.
