For your consideration, Garrett Park Guitars presents this 1960 Fender Harvard 5F10.
This is a superb example of a 1960 Fender Harvard 5F10, one of the most sought-after small tweed amps of the era. Producing approximately 10 watts from a pair of 6V6s, the Harvard is prized for its articulate cleans, rich midrange, and smooth overdrive at manageable volume levels.
This amp remains highly original, retaining its original Jensen P10R 10" speaker (date code 220020), original transformers, and even the original handle and Victoria Luggage cover. As expected for a professionally maintained amplifier of this age, the chassis shows evidence of routine service performed over the years to ensure reliable operation, including the installation of a modern 3-prong power cord. The lacquered tweed cabinet is in excellent condition with below-average wear for its age, while the chassis and structure show no evidence of breaks or major repairs. Light corrosion is present on the control plate, consistent with careful vintage use.
Recently serviced and tuned up by noted amplifier expert Jeff Bober (formerly "Amp Man" of Premier Guitar), this Harvard is fully functional and ready for studio, stage, or collection use. Its overall condition reflects decades of conscientious ownership and maintenance, preserving both its originality and playability. Weighing just over 21 pounds, it delivers the classic tweed Fender sound in a compact and highly portable package.
