1994 Fender Custom Shop '54 Stratocaster — Masterbuilt by John Cruz

For your consideration, Garrett Park Guitars presents this 1994 Fender Custom Shop ’54 Stratocaster, masterbuilt for the Strat's 50th anniversary by renowned Fender craftsman John Cruz.

As one of Cruz’s early Custom Shop builds, this guitar represents a compelling piece of Fender history, combining meticulous craftsmanship with faithful vintage-inspired specifications. Finished in classic 2-tone sunburst lacquer over a lightweight ash body, it captures the look, feel, and resonance that made the original 1954 Stratocaster one of the most influential electric guitars ever produced.

Weighing just 7 lbs 7 oz, this Stratocaster is remarkably lively and responsive. Its balanced trio of vintage-spec single-coil pickups delivers the articulate highs, focused midrange, and dynamic clarity that define the Stratocaster sound, offering exceptional balance across all pickup positions.

The maple neck features a comfortable rounded C profile, measuring .91" at the first fret and .99" at the twelfth, providing a substantial yet inviting feel in the hand. Vintage-spec frets and traditional black fiber dot inlays complete the authentic playing experience, while the neck’s dimensions strike an ideal balance between comfort and period-correct character.

This guitar remains in excellent condition, showing only minimal signs of play wear. It retains outstanding structural integrity with no cracks, breaks, or repairs, and presents much as it would have when it first left the Fender Custom Shop over three decades ago.

The guitar includes its original hardshell “poodle” case, bridge cover, hang tag, and Fender instrument cable.
