1987 PRS SIGNATURE #33 VINTAGE YELLOW

1987 PRS signature number 33. The PRS signature was the first collectible guitar made by PRS guitars. This one, a lovely vintage yellow over Chevron Maple-top is one of the cleanest examples of early PRS guitar that we have ever seen.

It was bought as a gift for the original owner in 1987 from Sam Ash music on 48th St. in New York City. Soon there after it moved with its owner to the Seattle Washington area where we bought it last week.

Unfortunately the original owner never experienced the sonic delight of this guitar because he never learned how to play. It looks like Sig number 33 lived it's entire life in its case. It has a fabulous chevron flame maple top and a gorgeous figured mahogany back and neck. The dark Brazilian Rosewood fingerboard is the background for the incredibly colored abalone birds. The vintage yellow finish is almost completely perfect & unfaded and distinctively compliments the beautiful Maple-top. Paul signature is distinctively displayed on the headstock and the signature number 33 has an exclamation mark behind it on the back of the headstock. Almost all vintage PRS finishes sink slightly into the body and this one is no exception. All of the metal on the guitar looks brand-new and the case is in great condition as well. It's unusual to find an older PRS in this condition as most people play these guitars because they're such wonderful sounding instruments. The Electronics on this guitar are 100% original including the original sweet switch and T & B pick ups.

This signature is an absolute must for any PRS collector and one of the more outstanding examples of an early signature that we have ever had.
