For your consideration, Garrett Park Guitars presents this 1982 Gibson Les Paul Standard 82.

By the early 1980s, the guitars we now know as vintage were just starting to achieve their vintage status and collectability as folks started to realize the difference in quality between these vintage guitars and their modern counterparts. With this change came the burgeoning vintage reissue market that Fender and Gibson would take part in, with Gibson offering a Les Paul that was as close as possible to the original 1959 Burst specs. Thus, the Les Paul Standard 80s line was born.

This short-lived line of reissue Standards featured two PAF spec humbucker pickups, trapezoid inlays, Grover kidney tuners, four control knobs, a three-way pickup selector, white pickguard, bound rosewood fingerboard, & tune-o-matic bridge over a mahogany body with a beautifully figured maple top. This particular Standard 82 has had its original pickups swapped for Seymour Duncan Antiquities at one point and had the original tuners replaced with Kluson Deluxe tuners though the original tuners remain in the guitar's case. There is some pitting on the pickup covers, bridge, and stoptail which adds some character to the guitar and doesn't affect tone or playability. The guitar is otherwise quite clean with minimal player wear.

Tonally, this Les Paul hits the mark with superb bite from the bridge pickup that is complimented nicely by the darker neck pickup. Able to nail anything from rock, jazz, or country, it's easy to see why the Les Paul became so popular in its day. Comes with the original hardshell case and original tuners.
