1969 Fender Telecaster And 1968 Fender Pro Reverb
For your consideration, Garrett Park Guitars presents this 1969 Fender Telecaster And 1968 Fender Pro Reverb.
One of our rarest find ever. This Telecaster has been in its box since in a closet in Southern Maryland for 50 year's but there's more, it also came with an original drip edge '68 Pro Reverb. These were both originally purchased at Washington Music in Wheaton Maryland. We think we were the first to open the box containing the guitar, a red curly cord and original Fender strap in 50 year's.
"Returning from a road trip I noticed corroded fibertape laying on the floor of my office only to discover that my staff had opened a 1960s Fender "Standard" box while I was gone revealing what is essentially a New Old stock 1969 Fender Telecaster. For the purest we'll call it near mint, but a better description would be New Old stock" Rick Hogue
After our shop set this one up it came to life, it plays great and sounds incredible. The Tele and the Pro are a perfect match, the two of them together sound incredible.
Oddly the Telecaster does not come with an original hardshell case as cases were an option in those days.
The amp comes with an unopened schematics sheets and original cable. The Telecaster comes with the original red coiled instrument cable and original strap.
What's almost as cool is the July 22nd 1969 copy of the Los Angeles times that was used as packing material. The cover story is about the Apollo mission that landed on the moon and it's taking off from the Moon and heading back to Earth.
We want to keep the two together and sell this as a package deal but if you are interested in just one then please call the store to inquire.
