1966 Fender Stratocaster

For your consideration, Garrett Park Guitars presents this 1966 Fender Stratocaster.

Showing a still-vibrant original Lake Placid Blue finish, this transition Strat pairs one of Fender’s most recognizable custom colors with the timeless shape and versatility of the original Stratocaster design. With the sole exception of a modern 5-way switch, it remains factory original down to the frets and is one of two 1966 LPB Strats currently available.

Cosmetically, it is in excellent condition, with below-average play-wear and a few isolated blemishes on the top. Structurally, it remains in excellent shape, with no cracks or known repair history. The original frets, Kluson Deluxe double-line tuners, and hardware are retained, while a modern 5-way switch provides expanded pickup-selection options; a 3-way switch will be included with the sale.

Complete with its original hardshell case and newer tremolo arm, this Lake Placid Blue Stratocaster is an appealing example of Fender’s mid-’60s craftsmanship.
