For your consideration, Garrett Park Guitars presents this 1966 Fender Mustang Bass, a rare vintage short-scale Fender in excellent, fully original condition.

Finished in vibrant Dakota Red, this Mustang Bass showcases the classic mid-’60s Fender aesthetic that made the model a favorite among those seeking a comfortable playing experience and punchy, articulate short-scale tone. Its compact alder body and 30" scale make it exceptionally playable, while the split single-coil pickup delivers the warm, focused sound that defined countless recordings and live performances in the 1960s.

Cosmetically, this bass is in very good condition. It shows a professionally repaired crack on the back of the headstock (see photos), but otherwise only a few minor dings and light play-wear. Every component remains 100% original, including the Kluson “lollipop” tuners, electronics, hardware, and finish, making this a highly desirable example for collectors of vintage Fender instruments.

This is a collector-grade 1966 Fender Mustang Bass, combining originality, playability, and iconic Fender tone. Equally perfect for vintage enthusiasts or professional players, it comes complete with its original hardshell case.
