1965 Fender Stratocaster finished in a 3-Tone Sunburst.

For your consideration is the beautiful 1965 Fender Stratocaster in three tone sunburst. 1965 was the first year of CBS ownership at Fender and this beauty reflects the change to a a transition logo, pearl dots, and white pickguard. This beautiful example was owned by a recording studio for over twenty years and was used on many records for its brilliant tone. The instrument is all original except newer case and tremolo bar. It also had a repair at the base of the neck above the date stamp where it appears someone slipped when tightening the truss rod, this resulted in one fret and the bottom pearl dot being replaced. The repair is not visible and was done professionally. This is a fantastic sounding Stratocaster with very percussive clacky grey bottom pickups, the body and electronics are completely stock and the original pots and three ways switch are all still intact and in great working order. We just set it up and it is ready to gig or record. Neck is dated 2 JUN65B, the fingerboard is Brazilian rosewood and both it and the frets are in very good condition.
