While not a heavyweight like Fender or Gibson, Gretsch has nevertheless left an indelible print on the popular soundscape, being favored down the years by such luminaries as George Harrison, Neil Young, and of course Chet Atkins, whose signature graces the 6119 Tennessean.
This example from 1964 is 100% original and in wonderful, clean condition, belying how good a player it is. Once you wrap your head around the controls, the unique Hilo'Tron pickups reveal a broad sonic palette that would work well with rock, country, blues, and maybe even jazz. The original hardshell case comes with the original hang tags and literature, as well as Mel Bay's The Chet Atkins Style for Guitar: Vol I.
