The Gibson J-50 is a classic American made acoustic guitar that embodies the spirit of folk and rock music. This model features a dreadnought slope shoulder body shape, known for its powerful projection and full tonal quality. Its top is crafted from solid spruce, providing clarity and warmth, while the back, sides and neck are made from mahogany, adding richness and depth to the sound.

The fingerboard is Brazilian rosewood, adorned with dot inlays, and the mahogany neck has excellent action with good fret life. With a slightly wider nut width (1 11/16") and a great neck set, it offers easy playability, making it ideal for both strumming and fingerstyle techniques.

The J-50's distinctive tonal qualities are complemented by its vintage Kluson tuners, providing stable tuning and a touch of authentic character. Overall, the 1961 Gibson J-50 is celebrated for its rich, balanced sound and iconic look, making it a coveted instrument for musicians and collectors alike.

This model from '61 is in good shape and was just serviced by our luthier including a replaced truss rod, Fretle vel ,setup and crack repair. Its good for another 64 years.
