For your consideration, Garrett Park Guitars presents this 1958 Gibson Les Paul Junior, factory refinished by Gibson.

The Les Paul Junior was conceived by Gibson as a student guitar, but it has proven to be anything but a beginner's instrument. This is a guitar that proves you don't need more than a solid slab of mahogany and a hot P-90 to rock and roll. This particular Junior is a great player-grade vintage example, having been sent back to the Gibson factory for a professional refinish, as evidenced by the stamped factory refinish number (450).

The factory refinish has since developed a wonderfully aged appearance, with significant finish fade, natural checking, and honest play-wear. While this is certainly not a pristine example, it has the look and feel of a guitar that has been played and enjoyed, and it remains structurally excellent with no cracks, breaks, or repairs. The original P-90 and electronics are still in place, and it sounds exactly like you'd hope a late-'50s Junior would.

Factory-refinished guitars are relatively uncommon and are generally considered more desirable than examples refinished outside of the Gibson factory.
