For your consideration, Garrett Park Guitars presents this 1982 Fender "Dan Smith" Stratocaster in Natural
This Stratocaster was among the last to be produced in Fender's Fullerton plant. Led by Dan Smith and with an eye on Pre-CBS design, these early 80's Stratocaster guitars feature a return to the four bolt neck, smaller headstock, body end truss rod adjustment (no bullet truss rod), and classic 21 fret fingerboard.
Also new at the time was the addition of an X-1 pickup in the bridge for a hotter output in that position. These Strats also feature a factory 5 way switch which was a further nod to popular demand.
Released at the 1982 Winter NAMM show in Anaheim along with the '57 and '62 Reissue Strats signaled a move by Fender reconnecting them to their roots.
This Stratocaster is in excellent condition and feels ready to play for a long time to come. Comes with the original hardshell case, tremolo cover plate is missing.
