For your consideration, Garrett Park Guitars presents this 1965 Gibson J-45.

"If this guitar could talk I would have to leave town"- Henry Foster

Introduced in 1942 as a replacement for the J-35, the J-45 has since become one of Gibson's most popular acoustic flattops. Earning a reputation as a "workhorse" guitar, the J-45 was embraced for its no-frills attitude and big, strong tone. This find is no exception; fun to play with a clean, resonant tone, the J-45 proves itself time and time again.

Aside from the visual assets, this guitar sounds amazing. We got this fine-sounding slope shoulder J-45 from its original owner at a produce stand in Louisa VA. Henry Foster purchased it new in 1965 from Walter D. Moses Music on Broad Street in Richmond VA. His receipt and payment plan are included. Henry told us that he played this guitar 3-5 nights a week in Bluegrass and Country Bands. We reglued the pickguard and set it up and the results are superb.

This piece will be a fantastic addition to any collection!

Comes with the original (to the guitar) softshell case that is not in great shape but we will include a new hardshell case for $100 extra.
