Gibson "Bursts" The Most Collectable Vintage Guitars - Nova Scotia Burst

Gibson "Bursts" The Most Collectable Vintage Guitars - Nova Scotia Burst

Gibson Les Paul Standards made between 1958 and the end of 1960 represent the very pinnacle of American electric guitar craft and rank as the most collectable vintage guitars on the market.

In those years, the Les Paul Standard was built with a flamed maple top with a cherry sunburst finish, a stopbar tailpiece, and tune-o-matic bridge. They also had a pair of PAF humbuckers.

These guitars became the textbook reference for what a Les Paul's tone sounded like. Used by some of the greatest Artists of our time, including Mike Bloomfield, Keith Richards, Jimmy Page, Eric Clapton, Duane Allman, Billy Gibbons, Slash and others.

An estimated 1700 of the mythical Burst Les Pauls are thought to still exist, but occasionally an uncirculated Burst comes along like the one we bought in Nova Scotia in 2021.
This guitar was bought by a fiddle player and gifted to his son, who rarely played it. Uncirculated 'Bursts are exciting news in the vintage guitar world and guitar aficionados worldwide are always on the hunt for them.
