1940 Gibson L-00

For your consideration, Garrett Park Guitars presents this 1940 Gibson L-00.

One of the cleanest pre-war guitars we've ever had. Just in is this 1940 Gibson L-00 finished in sunburst. Although it is nearly 100% original, It had another set of tuners on it at one point, but an original set was sourced and installed with no additional routing. A recent neck set was expertly done and the action and intonation are both very good.

The sound is amazing and rich and this is a perfect finger-style instrument. It is clean enough for a collector but so wonderful to play that you'd never leave it in its case.

The sunburst is perfectly applied and the finish itself has seen very little fade. The fire stripe pickguard is lovely and there are no cracks from it or anywhere else on the guitar. The bridge and bridge plate are both original and both are in great shape.

This was a transitional period for Gibson as they were beginning production of the LG series but this L-00 retains trueness to its specs.

Overall this is just an outstanding example and wonderful guitar that will only sound better as its played and opens up even more. It will provide its new owner with joy every time the case is opened and the guitar is played, 

Comes with the original string "strap" and original chipboard case.
