The Gibson Barney Kessel is a signature model guitar manufactured by the Gibson Guitar Company. The guitar was a signature model for the popular Jazz musician Barney Kessel. The guitar was discontinued in 1974.
This original vintage 1966 Gibson Barney Kessel Custom is a stunner. It is 100% stock, original, including the patent sticker decal pickups. It has a lovely figured maple top, back, sides and neck with a Brazilian rosewood fingerboard.
Cosmetically, this is in excellent condition, and has only the lightest natural play wear one. There are no cracks, breaks, or repairs of any kind and the gold hardware is only moderately tarnished. It features bow tie inlays, the Barney Kessel plaque on the tailpiece, Waffle tuners and a stinger on the back of the headstock. It comes with its clean and original Lifton case.
