1965 FENDER STRATOCASTER, LAKE PLACID BLUE

Garrett Park Guitars

This guitar is in our Hall of Fame Collection and is no longer available for purchase.

For your consideration, Garrett Park Guitars presents this 1965 Fender Stratocaster in Lake Placid Blue.

This is an amazing guitar and a great story. We bought this guitar from the original owner who bought it from Washington Music Center on 8th Street in DC in 1966. It is in amazing condition with only a couple of small dings. This Strat is 100% original and was never gigged, seeing only
occasional use while jamming with family and friends. The owner worked at NASA for over 45 years and grew up in a musical family in Southern Maryland. He chose this color over the others because of its beauty. Everything about the the guitar is 100% spot on, all of the date codes are correct and intact. (It is likely this guitar was completed in the early months of 1966, as it has pickups dated 3/66). Its features pearl dots, transition logo, white pickguard & small headstock. It comes with the original strap, cord, hang tag, tremolo bar and bridge cover.

It has everything that it came with when it was bought new including photos of the original owner playing it in the early 1970s'. This is a rare find indeed and in such superb condition it is truly a collectors dream.
